I thought this book was fair. Good beach read, but nothing special.

This is the first book I have read by this author and am very suprised at how much I enjoyed this book. A very good story with a feel-good ending.

Good story. I enjoyed listening to Paula Cale. Cannie was annoying at first, but if I was in her shoes I would probably have acted the same way. She developed into a stronger woman as the story went on, and I am happy to report that it ended just as I had hoped it would. :)

For the record, this is the abridged version. I am glad I read the book first. The person who narrated the story has the most irritating nasally voice. UGH. I almost stopped listening to it half way through, but I love the book and wanted to hear the ending.

I would recommend reading the book. NOT listening to it.

Jennifer Weiner's sense of humor shines through again. The protagonist, a "large woman", relates the story of a relationship gone bad, and it's sometimes funny, sometimes bittersweet outcome. Watching her character develope and grow is touching, funny and just great reading!!
