The artist/author takes each letter of the alpabet and matches it with an endangered animal to creae an artistic letter form - like the letters you see on the front cover. Each letter incorporates an animal symbol. Brief information is provided for each animal. The information in the write-ups seemed too old for pre-school alphabet learning. That said the kids did like the mix of animals with letters.
Stylized drawings of the animals (like the front cover), at the end the alphabet is repeated with more information about the animals and more realistic drawings.
