Caterine Cookson, the much-loved English storyteller, has written another tale of life in England in the late 19th and early 20th century. As we travel through life with Emily Pearson, we learn of conflicts faced by those who were not born to the higher levels of society, and we also are enwrapped by the joy and love within the family. Catherine Cookson grabs our attention from the first page and we read just enough to make us want to read more each day!!
