Good book in a consistent series that is intended for young readers; not like comic books these days. This is clean and not grim. It has clever characters and steady pacing, and it does what the reader expects it to do. Not high class, but a satisfying read for a kid who gets a craving for superhero tales. These have been read repeatedly in our house.
A mysterious golden crown delivered to Clark Kent causes Superman to go weak and traps him in a giant cacoon. When the cacoon opens, it is transformed, golden Superman emerges, with no memory of his previous life-not even Lois Lane! Will Batman and the rest of the league be able to comquer ancient magic to get their friend back?
Very choppy, but tween friendly.
