Asian and American worlds come together in San Francisco as Paige Hathaway discovers that her world is not as she believed, and her history includes secrets that must come to light whether her mother likes it or not. This is a wonderful story of family, love and forgiveness. I loved the major characters in this story and found myself admiring them, rather than as in some books, muttering, "why is she behving so stupidly?" In other words, the story comes out of character rather than plot manipulation. Good book, good writer!

If you have not yet read anything by Barbara Freethy, What are you waiting for. This book is about a 50 year old mystery that brings 3 families together. I have read all the books by this author and have yet to find one that I did not love.
