Just finished this book the other day. Very moving story, makes you feel so much for the young boy. A great mystery with an exciting ending.

When Ranofer found the golden goblet, he knew it must have been stolen from one of the great tombs in the City of the Dead. Ranofer also knew that in order to win his freedom he would have to prove that Gebu, his greedy half brother, was the theif. The events that follow will surely excite the adventurous young reader.

Great story to read-aloud to children. Takes a couple of chapters to get engaged, and then well worth the effort.

My children and I enjoyed this book. It is a fictional book but helps bring life in this time period to life.
