Main character finds herself in trouble again because of her abilities. In spite of it all she seems to find hope that she'll love again someday. An antagonist gets killed off, which is not an unwelcome event. Nice sequel but not as good as the rest of the series. I do believe I've skipped a book but think I'm done with them.

Very good book if you are into the psychic/paranormal books. The woman is a "violet" a.k.a. psychic/medium who can summon the dead and she is trying to escape from a government organization that is trying to make her work for them. She gets hired by a not-so-true archaeologist trying to find ancient artifacts in Peru. Very easy read, very hard to put down.

This is the first of the series I've read. I found this book to start out very slow, not get exciting till almost halfway through, then get dull again. Woodworth should stay away from any future lead female characters because I found Natalie to be just awkward. The whole book seemed awkward and just stumbled along from beginning to end.

Well-written but not as meaty of a story as I had hoped for. I'm a prolific reader and enjoy quickie reads, just wasn't prepared for this one to be a quick. Read it in just a few hours. Enjoyable. I would consider this to be a 'light' read.
Great series about "Violets" who can connect with those who have died to find out who is the murderer.
great book to go along with the others!
A book that I found very interesting because of the main character's gift, the gift to speak to the dead.
Really enjoyed. Look forward to more by this author.
Very good series! This book was also a page turner for me. I especially liked the different setting in this one.
good plane reading, but not something I would make time for.Admitedly I knew too much about archaeology going into it.
Great read! First book I"ve read by this author, it was a fast read.
great 3rd book about Natalie
Woodruff's psychic character, Natalie Lindstrom, is pulled into an archaeological scam that reaches back into the bloody history of Peru in the time of the Conquistadors.
This was the third book in a series that I have really liked. This one takes place in Peru.
I have read the 1st, 2nd, and now the third, since the fourth book will be out in the FAll 2006. I just cannot wait. I love lindy lindstrom and Dan in the first book and have followed the violets in every book. Its a book once you start to read, you can't put down until its finished. Awesome read.
Really good book- part of a series.
I liked the series so far, but decided I wouldn't reread it, so letting it go to someone else. Do read this series in order.
Good book. If you have followed this series( Through Violet Eyes, With Red Hands)this is the next to read. Enjoy!!
Great book! A bit of the paranormal, with a touch of mystery and suspense.
Look closely and you can see...
The face of the killer...
In Golden Blood.
Natalie is still besieged by government intimidation, family problems, and growing money worries. A generous financial offer by a mysterious multi-millionaire leads her to accept a not-strictly-legal freelance assignment in the Peruvian Andes, channeling the dead to help locate a priceless centuries-old treasure. But all that glitters is not gold as ancient bitterness and present-day greed threaten Natalie, forcing her to make a choice that will change her forever.
I loved all four of the books in this series.

The third book in the violets series excellent could not out this one down.
Great action, and main character. The concept is scary but told with great reflection into why the "violets" do what they do. I really enjoyed this book. Well written
I did not enjoy this book quite as much as I did the first two. It has a lot of historical references which took away from the story line. But still worth the read if you have enjoyed the other books in this series.
Really enjoyed this book. Hard to put down once I got started reading it.
look closely and you can see-the face of the killer-in cold blood.
An excellant book---a "weird and wonderful" plus archeaology equals a great read. One of a series.
I enjoyed this page-turner that was just the right amount of suspenseful/scary. Great descriptions of Peru and a heroine with very interesting abilities.
Definitely wasn't my favorite in the series, but worth the read anyway. The first book was by far the best.
I didn't think he was the greatest writer. I enjoyed the premise of the book, that kept me reading the trilogy.
Great read! Natalie Lindstrom has a gift: the poser to speak to the dead, to solve crimes by interviewing murder victims. But now Natalie wants to escape. Escape from the voices that fill her head. Escape from the organization that has used her as a crime-solving tool...and now wants to recruit her daughter. So Natalie takes a job as far from crime and punishment as she can get: with an archaeologist in the mountains of Peru. Her job: to find a trove of priceless artifacts-by channeling those who lived and died at an ancient Incan site. But in the towering Andes, Natalie enters a 500-year-old storm of betrayal, murder, greed, and rage-and she cannot silence the voices of the dead. The slaughtered reach out to her. The slaughterers boast of their crimes. Alone, cut off from her family, Natalie faces a chilling realization: every truth she uncovers is leading her one step closer to a terror beyond imagining.
very good book, cannot wait for the next one.
Exciting, spellbinding book!
