A rollicking romp with the same heroine from THE DRASTIC DRAGON OF DRACO, TEXAS.
Valentine Lovelace loves nothing more than a good adventure. So when her poor, dearly-departed daddy's ex-mistress invites her on a journey to the Yukon at the peak of the Gold Fever, she jumps at the opportunity. Novelist Val is sure she'll find a mother-lode of great stories just waiting to be told and quite a few interesting people along the way . . .
In fact, it's not long before she finds both in Vasily Vladovitch Bledinoff. He's distinguished, educated, incredibly suave--and he's a vampire! And when one of his nightly feedings is blamed on her, Val finds herself up to her neck in trouble--literally.
The count also wants to make her a member of his vampire clan . . .and the trouble is that the nights in the Ykon go on for MONTHS this far north!

I so dearly love Elizabeth Ann Scarborough's later works, but am disappointed in her earlier works. I guess this proves that practice makes perfect -- assuming this is the same author. Since I read this book quite a while ago, I am borrowing a review from Amazon.

Fast paced fun story in the Klondike!, April 20, 1999

It was fun to visit with Pelagia our heroine again though this time in the Yukon during the Klondike. So many positives in this book! A face paced story that is not only smooth and well written but fun and humorous, too! Such fantastic characters that I didn't want to say goodbye at the book's close. More please!!

Interesting premise, but the story itself is disappointing.
