A fascinating review of the lives and loves of Marilyn Monroe. She was much more intense than most people would have realised.

I've never had much interest in Marilyn Monroe until recently. When I decided to find out more about this mysterious icon of America's past I was pleasantly surprised by this book. Full of detail (sometimes more than needed), and spanning Marilyn's life from about age 16 to the aftermath of her death. Full of speculation, observation, and more evidence about her mysterious death than were available at that time. It seems like the author struggles to stay objective as he slowly uncovers the many sides of this unique woman, and is drawn into her story just as much as many people were drawn to her in life. There were a few times the book seemed slow, but the reward is a deeper and more extensive look at the Marilyn not everyone got to see.

Absolute shite. This book is basically the same he-said-she-said story we've been reading about for decades, with plenty of immature author-voice coming out from between the lines. Gross.

I really liked this book. I didn't really know much about Marilyn Monroe and I learned a lot.
