Mom Review: A decent teen read about 4 girls with different powers to fight evil. Fairly clean with no more than kissing with little talk of the expectation of more. There was only one spot where the main character was accused of not having enough "sexperience" by another girl but the comment was shot down by the main characters.

First in a long series entitled DAUGHTERS OF THE MOON. Vanessa, who has always had the special power to become invisible, discovers that she and her best friend Catty, a time-traveler, are goddesses of the moon who must fight together to overcome the evil Atrox.I remember really liking how these girls all discover their own mystical powers in a real world setting.

As a big Lynne Ewing fan, I am a big supporter of these books. This series is a great teen book. I especially like the fact that this book doesn't support the shallow behavior of a lot of teens these days and isn't all about sex or wanting sex. It has a variety of main characters from preppy/popular to Gothic, to just 'no' tags to apply. One of the characters has a shady past, but they all get along pretty well. This series is about Greek Mythology and the beginning of most books begin with a short story about the god/goddess that will be talked about the most in the book.

The book refers to alot of mythology. It was an easy and clean book.
From back cover:
Vanessa, Catty, Serena, and Jimena seem like ordinary girls living in Los Angeles. But they each have a secret. Vanessa can become invisible. Catty travels back in time. Serena reads minds, and Jimena has premonitions. As the girls become friends, they discover that what seperates them from others will brand them together as...
...Daughters of the Moon.
All Vanessa Cleveland has ever wanted is to be like everyone else and be able to do normal things- like kiss gorgeous Michael Saratoga without disapperaing right in front of him. But Vanessa is different, and having to hide her secret makes leading a normal life impossible.
Now Vanessa is being followed. She doesn't know who's doing it. But she knows why. Her secret has finally been discovered.
