this really was a great read. i'd recommend it for everyone... nuge lovers and haters alike. there's a passion in everything he does and it's evident in his writing.
i've long had a great deal of respect for his position on the subject of guns, his arguements are logical, well thought out and intelligent. they are born of a lifetime of safely handling firearms of all shapes and sizes, and anyone who thinks he's some NRA nut is sadly mistaken. the motor city madman may indeed be crazy, but when it comes to his ideas on gun control, education, safety, etc... he knows what he's talking about.
the passion with which he described each of his children's first deer made me hope my son chooses to hunt and know that oneness with nature and his forefathers. his honesty and candidness when describing accidental weapon discharges he was involved with was refreshing. the love in the way he talks about his family unit is touching. i've found new love and respect for him since reading this.
