God Gave Us You is an illustrated board book perfect for children ages 1-3 years. It is a short story about a baby polar bear asking the question, Mama, where did I come from?

From God, Her mother answered. Your papa and I were alone and we wanted a baby.

And you got me? Little Cub asked, her voice muffled by the covers.

Yes, my special child. God gave us you.

The pictures are colorful and engaging for young minds and the story is very sweet. It drives home the point that children come from God and that they are very special.

My Rating: 4 Stars

I read this book to my children ages 7, 5 and 3. While the two older ones were definitely past the young age for this book, they still enjoyed the pictures and were even grinning when I finished. My 3 year old however, loved it. She grasped the story concept and was all smiles when we finished reading it.

I would recommend this book to all moms with small children. It is a book that they will enjoy hearing you read and one that they will pick up again and again on their own because of the bright illustrations.

Well done, Lisa Tawn Bergren and Laura J. Bryant.

Many thanks to Waterbrook Press for my complimentary copy of this book.
