One of Greeley's best - but I can say that about several of his novels. The emotional investment of God in each human's life is played out with humor, drama and insight in this novel. Greeley's fascination with teenage girls and their sometimes surprising feminine wisdom is present in this novel as well. I adore the writer, and this book is one of the reasons. I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys finding spiritual truth in a novel.

A man playing a video game discovers the game is real. It's very good, very original.

ONE DAY AT THE BEACH...
I was given the kingdom, the power, and the glory, and let me tell you, it wasn't any fun.
I was trying out a new computer game called "Duke and Duches" when lightning struck my satellite dish. Maybe that's what caused it; I'll never know for sure.
But the people I saw on the screen were real, and their trouble was desperate.
Any my trouble was just beginning....

"An engrossing tale.... very refreshing indeed"--Minneapolis Star-Tribune

"Intriguing stuff, with a broadly amusing exterior and plenty of food for serious thought." -- Kirkus Reviews.
