Helpful Score: 1
Entertaining, but not quite Ursula K. LeGuin (who also deals with similar experimental gender issues in lots of her work).
very interesting societal framework
Bleah. This book is far more interested in the titillation factor of a society of virginal women than in any serious exploration of what a clonal society might look like. The gender roles are trite. However, it is an entertaining adventure story, and makes an excellent time-filler for sitting on the plane, or suchlike.
Interesting read.
