The Congdon case had it all: murder in a mansion, inheritance, family feuds, investigative mishaps. This true crime narrative is well written and detailed. The main focus is the daughter of the victim, Marjorie Congdon LeRoy Caldwell Hagen. Her troubles as an adopted daughter, troubled mother and woman, leaves a trail of fires and death.
