An excellent book that opens the mind. It provides thoughtful questions and challenges the reader to do more investigation and research regarding the way the US government was set up and how it is currently running. The book includes Thomas Paine's writing and a suggested reading list for readers who seek more information.

Glenn Beck has a gift for seeing the Big Picture, based on common sense and historical facts. Also, a firm grasp on the founding principles of our country.... previous mistakes made and the subsequent consequences, also based on historical facts. An eye-opening read. Hopefully, many of the apathetic will start waking up.

Great reminder of what our politicians are SUPPOSED to be like and how they've gone seriously astray from what the founding fathers intended. Makes a great argument for TERM LIMITS! Also explains the history of the Progressive movement, very interesting. Includes Thomas Paine's essays on Common Sense in the back third of the book.

I LOVE Glenn Beck, but this isn't one of his better books. I put it down after the first chapter, and don't have the desire to pick it back up.
If you have the same view as Mr Beck and are already involved in the political scene, this book is not for you. If you need a kick in the pants to get involved, this is definitely it!
