I was given a copy of this book from the publishers via NetGalley, in return for an honest review.

The Bad: I was hesitant to request a copy of this story, because I had read a previous novel by this author, and wasn't at all impressed with it. But the plot intrigued me. There were alternating viewpoints, which I typically don't like, but it wasn't too bad here, as the different narrators were each given a solid third of the book before it switched. Until the last third, where the narration was switched after about each chapter. There were a few times in that last part that I forgot who was telling the story.

I was a bit surprised by the story line. I knew from the blurb that bad things happened to these girls, but I had thought that the story would drag them back to the opposite past event than the one that it did. I can see now that I'm done with the book that that would have been hard to do, but it did surprise me.

The Good:
One thing that was good was that, while all these horrible things were happening to the girls, we didn't have to read about it in detail. Just enough was given to the reader to allude to what was happening, without making us voyeurs to their crimes/assaults.

Though the story was a little more than I am used to reading (I tend to like retellings, young adult and fluffy/filler type books) it was a good story. I felt that the characters were well developed, even the minor ones, and that the story moved along at an appropriate pace.

I would recommend it if you're looking for a quick paced thriller.

This book was good... I really had a hard time putting it down. It was pretty predictable in areas but it was well written, a good plot and at the end.. I was in tears. I felt so many emotions while reading this book, Chevy has a way with getting to the readers.

I give this 5 full stars because it is very very well written!!!!

It gives you the 'hint' of something happening to these 3 sisters but I was surprised at the storyline and for some it might be hard to read, the good part is that Stevens didn't go into graphic detail about the 'happening' and the story will grab you from the start and you will have emotions throughout this story.

Very well written!!!!!!!!!!!

I won this in a contest from St. Matins, thank you for providing me with an ARC. I was very happy, and surprised to see this in my mailbox. It made my day.

First I need to say I am a HUGE Chevy Stevens fan. The first book of hers I read was 'Never Knowing' I read that in about one night and was instantly hooked. I've since read all her books. Her newest book 'Those Girls' was just as an edge of your seat thriller as her first novel 'Still Missing' Three sisters Jess,Courtney and Dani are in fear of their father, after another bad night they finally get away. You may think things are going good, but they don't stay nice for long. Their truck breaks down, and some guys offer to help. Let me ask you, would you accept help from two guys alone? They did,and things didn't stay nice for long. I honestly can't say much more because you have to read it for yourself.
Eighteen years later, the girls are now living good lives, and are safe from everything that happened in their childhood....well until everything comes crashing back to them.

I really really enjoyed this. I would of finished it sooner, but I had to work. I was very shocked at this novel. Just now I have to wait a whole year for another wonderful novel from Chevy. I must say Chevy's books are filled with very graphic details, this one is very graphic at times. If you don't like disturbing content then tread lightly. She doesn't sugar coat anything. Despite that it's a very quick read, and most of the characters are likable. I was rooting for the girls the whole time too,but at times I wanted to yell at them wishing they hadn't made some of the choices they did. Read 'Those Girls' and you wont be disappointed.

Once again, Stevens weaves a heart-pounding, tension filled tale. I have read all her books and every time I am wound up in knots all the way through, afraid of what will happen next. "Those Girls" are 3 young sisters who go through so much and their lives are forever altered. As the years go by, they live in fear and eventually devastating events take their toll on the sisters and those they love. Well done!

Loved this book, which is about three sisters who are raised by an abusive father, end up on the run, get into a devastating situation in a small town when their old truck breaks down and finally ending up settling in Toronto. With the help of new friends, they are able to make a life for themselves, kinda.

Chevy Stevens has done it again! A nail biting, anxiety filled, can't put down tale of three sisters who won my heart! From their terrible childhood, they lived in fear until 13 years later when they finally got closure, I felt their pain and suffering. You will need a box of tissues at the end.

Very well done, I loved this book and can't wait for her next.

I have mixed feelings about this book. It instantly grabbed me in the beginning & for the first part, I couldn't put it down. Unfortunately, about a third of the way through it, I felt like the story line started to fall apart. I began losing some interest in it, and it almost felt like the second half of the book was written by a different author! I don't know what happened. I just never felt as though it had the same pull on me for the rest of the story.

It is written by different perspectives throughout the book, which was a blessing & a curse at the same time. When the story bounces between characters in the last part, it got a bit confusing as to whose perspective it was from. I had to keep double checking as to who was speaking. I think it was great to get different angles of the story from each of the characters, but with the name changes in the story, it did get a bit confusing.

Overall, the book was a little sad & heartbreaking, and it may leave you feeling a little angry at times for the events that occur. I would read more from this author, but this wasn't necessarily one of my favorite books I've ever read.

(Side note: This book is fairly graphic with topics such as rape & abuse. If this bothers you, this book may not be one you will want to read.)
