Certainly an interesting story about the development of the atomic bomb from the personal view of the thousands of people, many of them women, who worked on the project without knowing what they were working on. They all had their reasons, and most of men stayed on the project. While the author alludes to many who left due to the psychological and physical conditions they worked under, she does not include those in her story.
But there were times when the text dragged, or I felt the same story was being told over again. However, I'm glad that I read it. If nothing else, the very last story touched my heart.

Though a smidge slow at times, this was an interesting perspective of the people of Oak Ridge. I was moved.
