Dunno what I feel about this - enjoyed it, but it's been done before, many times, and in some ways better, and in others this is totally unique, but I can't really verbalize it properly.

LOVE the concept that time and history are man made things. I often say that to make myself feel better about my age *grin*

Worth a read, stick with it. Last couple of pages were probably the best in the book, and will be on my mind for a while.

Douglas Coupland's books are all about "Generation X", using bits and pieces from pop culture and news to create novels that make us think. This novel starts out fairly straightforward and then turns into a surreal look into life today. And yes, there is a girl in a coma.
