Published in 1961 by Dell. A young girl moves with her family to New York and learns that it isn't as wonderful as she'd expected. This story is not politically correct according to our standards today, yet very real for that time period. In fact, I found it very fair in conveying how anyone can be prejudiced--even those who are minorities in a given area themselves. A nice story with a satisfying ending.
