Interesting true crime story but the book seemed to just drag on and on so it lost my interest about 3/4 of the way through.

I would give this book zero stars if I could. Really not very well written. We know early on who the perpetrator is. The author listed several tips (three pages worth) that came in from the public. They really added nothing to the story--I felt the author included them as "filler" because he didn't have much to comprise a book. The author also included comments that the townfolk made to the media about the missing people, etc. In my opinion, these didn't add anything to the story, either. Amazon reviewers who gave one and two stars commented that it seemed the author had extracted his information from news stories and then compiled that into a book. I would agree with that theory--the author did little real research (i.e., interviewing people himself) but simply regurgitated news reports.
