This was a pretty good read, but I wanted to love this book more than I did. The plot was interesting and even though I shook my head at the lack of character development, it kept me reading. There were several twists I didn't see coming. It could have been a 5 star book if there had been a little more character depth and less cliche' traits.

While this is the first of several Jack Stratton Mysteries, the book provides closure on this first mystery without leaving an unresolved cliff hanger that makes you have to buy the second installment.

I would recommend for a lazy day.
