SUMMARY:

Young Christy Frederickson had scarcely absorbed the shock of losing her mother when her father was killed in an automobile accident. In the terrible days that followed, an incident that Christy might ordinarily have taken in stride, triggers a suicide attempt.

Luckily, at this point, Christy is befriended by a young lawyer and his wife, but just as she is regaining her balance, tragedy hits again. Painfully, Christy comes to the realization that the frightened girl inside her must grow up before she will ever be able to handle her life successfully.
