This book was an interesting read. It gave the information, but revealed nothing new. It was like the authors gathered the reports, interviews, and information already out there and put it all together in a comprehensive case file. It was like reading a textbook, informative but not very entertaining, for lack of a better word. It reveals nothing new because Natascha is still mumb about what happened to her, yet it does plead the case that she is ultimately a victim and needs time to heal. The parts I didn't really like about the book was it was overbloated with useless information, often repetitive, and ultimately lacking heart.

I knew nothing about this book when I picked it up. It was very informative and interesting, but jumped around a bit too much for me. It's almost like the authors told the true story thinking you would already know of the kidnapping and the background history, which I did not. Overall I liked the interesting facts, history and accounts. For those who love true crime definitely a good read!

Absolutely horrifing....really how could this have happened? This man was so deranged i wonder how he carried on a public life so normally? I also could not get a good feeling about the mother thru all this. She seemed so "fake" and mean. This is a sad story...makes you want to never let your children out of your sight...and that is not a bad idea this day and age. Even though this was a disturbing read...it was well written and i found myself flipping pages quickly to see how it would turn out.
