This young adult book is a pleasure no matter how old you are. It's funny, and, as the title states, charming. Another plus that teachers will appreciate is the author interview and discussion questions.

Loved this book. Very entertaining and astute. You don't have to be a teenager to enjoy it. Even better than Bridget Jones as good as something by Nick Hornby.

i actually enjoyed this. i had picked the book up so many times at the store and put it back. i saw the CD here on PBS and figured, WHY NOT. The story was a bit predictable, but Jess was a fun character to watch muddle through everything. Will probably look for the sequel on audio CD now.
