Filled with all of the repartee expected of the author, this still quickly morphs from comedy to tragedy. An aging entertainer is just out of the dry-out tank. Her daughter, her former louse lover, and a homosexual friend can't do enough to keep her from a relapse with Mr. Barleycorn.
