I really enjoyed this book and sped quickly through all three novellas. The Joanne Fluke tale was a good blend of mystery and humor, and included several recipes that I plan on trying. The Laura Levine tale was immensely funny and the author made very good use of the limited amount of space allotted in which to create multiple suspects and a solid plot. I was disappointed in Leslie Meier's contribution, however. A Lucy Stone fan, I felt this story was a too dark for what seemed to be a more light-hearted read, and used too many heavily religious overtones. Five stars for Fluke and Levine; two and a half for Meier.

a fun collection of novellas. Perfect for Christmas and a little baking too. I got the book because of the Joanne Fluke story, but I enjoyed the other authors also.

Oh, boy! Not one, but 3 murders! (all men, by the way). I knew molasses could be dangerous, but not gingerbread.

I respect Joanne Fluke's work and I look forward to and enjoy each new book in the Hannah Swenson series. It's as if I know the characters. It's comparable to going to visit old friends. Ms Fluke is good at developing well rounded characters and how they fit in to their community. She takes time for relationships to develop. Her story lines are believable even though Hannah gets by with doing some pretty careless and stupid actions in the pursuit of clues. My complaint is Hannah's fickleness over Norman and Mike. It is inconceivable to believe 2 successful men in this small of a community would stand around twiddling their thumbs while this very average woman tries to decide which one.
