Typical Lori Foster. Don't expect a plot; you'll just get a shallow storyline. Don't expect character development; you'll get a horny, macho hero & a needy heroine. There's lots of characters from previous books, & she introduces one which will probably be in a future book. The bad guys are so evil it's laughable, & oh, so predictable. Check your brain at the door & take this book to the beach.
For me typical Lori Foster is a good thing! There's action, steamy love scenes, and a plausible explanation for how playboy Rowdy changes his behavior. You see characters from previous books. I enjoyed the "flip" where it's the guys from the wrong side of the tracks doing the honorable thing while the upper class people are the bad guys.

Couldn't wait for Lori Foster's book on Rowdy Yates and it did not disappoint. One her great characters.

I don't care if this book is predictable. I think most romances are but I am okay with that. I read so much technical stuff at work that I like light, fluff happily ever after (HEA) books. If you want something indepth without "hot" guys, a heroine that needs saving yet able to save herself, and a HEA, then I suggest you read Nonfiction. I didn't read this book for quite a while because I enjoyed looking at the cover while the book sat on my nightstand. I have enjoyed all of the Love Undercover books but Getting Rowdy is my favorite. So don't look for indepth here but the storyline was good and Rowdy is hot!!!
Fun book. I wish she did spend more ime on motivations of the bad guys but it was a quick, easy read. I like Rowdy and Avery together. I like that he was so outrageous & she doesn't take much crap from him. If you have read other books in this series, the plot is pretty much the same.
Nice fluff read.
