A short book (about 40 pages, reading level about 4th grade) about a family from Atlanta, Georgia, that visited Tbilisi, in the Georgia Republic of the USSR, in 1989, as part of a peace project. Although the listed author is an adult, the story is told in the first person by Joe, who looks in the color photographs as 9 or 10 years old.

An attractive book, talking about the things kids are interested in, school, games (including video games) pop music, and food. Some about scenery, buildings and monuments. Very little about the economy or government.
