This is a very cute book about a boy named George Washington Allen. He was named after George Washington and he has the same birthday as Washington too. He wanted to know everything about George Washington including the breakfast that he ate.

He finds out some interesting facts about Washington. Near the end of the book he finds out what George Washington ate for breakfast and then he wants to know what he had for lunch. It ends there because the library is closed that day. His grandmother promised to make him the same breakfast that George Washington had many years ago when George Allen finds out what it is. She does make him that breakfast
for him. You can also make the breakfast for your children after reading this book if you would like to do that too.

This is a fun book that teaches about George Washington without being all "teachy" about it. My daughter loved it!
