Such a good book! I laughed most of the time. Ms.Bobby knows how to write an entertaining book!
When Maxine finds herself alone with a baby to raise, she decides to start a 1-900 business for men callers. She takes these calls and plays the part even while she is changing or feeding the baby, doing housework, etc.
She hires on a helper who is a grandmother trying to fill in her life now that the kids are grown and husband gone.
Naturally, they create sexy names for themselves and work in shifts.
Then a gentleman calls, wants to just talk. Not sex, just general topics. In actuality he is an investigative reporter wanting a story. I was thoroughly entertained throughout the entire story!

Great plot- a single mom making her rent with a telephone sex line and a studly (what other kind is there?) freelance journalist, doing an expose... nicely drawn characters, believable down to the kids.

Terrible cover...

But inside...a sexy, humorous, tasteful & contemporary story of an undercover journalist doing an expose on phone sex. Thoroughly enjoyable.
