This is a great action thriller! Murder, DNA, the Vatican... all tie unexpectedly only until the end of the book! Very exciting!

Good read. Very remeniscent of the DaVinci Code with an ultraconservative branch of the Catholic Church once again wreaking havoc.

Though there really are no similarities story-wise, the - attitude - for lack of a better word - the attitude of this book brings you to the same shady, conspiracy feeling of The DaVinci Code. I personally found the protagonist in The Genesis Code a much more likeable character. And his "lady-love" was surprising! I really love reading religious/conspiracy fiction; which is surprising because I'm a Born Again believer. And this one is right up there with the best of them! Very well written mystery making you work to figure out - not WHO done it, but WHY done it!

If you liked The DaVinci Code, I swear you will like this one a lot better. No time wasted with a romance subplot, just a great religious mystery.

Futuristic medical technology collides with fundamentalist religious fanaticism in this glacially-paced "thriller" that takes its hero on a painstaking search to locate and save victims targeted by an evil force he doesn't understand.

Most readers, however, will have figured out the salient points of the big reveals long before protagonist Joe Lassiter gets there -- especially if they've read The DaVinci Code. This makes it somewhat difficult to believe that Lassiter is a fabulously rich and powerful figure in the information game -- the go-to guy for individuals, corporations, and governments who need deep intelligence on a variety of topics.

Lassiter's search for the truth behind the murder of his sister and her son sends him hopscotching through much of Europe. There he seems to spend much of his time throwing around inexhaustible amounts of money, checking in and out of hotels, hanging around trattorias and drinking coffee when he's not being menaced by shadowy forces intent on fatally ending his hunt.

There are a couple of scenes where the action gets fast and deadly, but much of the novel is a slog.

Mr. Case has written a enthralling mystery. Watch out all conspiracy theorists! You will come away feeling even more concerned about Big Brother, be it government and/or religious. I'm passing it on for someone else to enjoy, but I will reread in the future.
Love it!

This was my first book by the author (actually 2 authors writing as one). I really liked the book from the beginning. It grabbed my attention from the beginning and held my interest throughout. I plan to read more from this author. If you like a good mystery, with lots of twists and turns, this is the book for you!
