It is a sweet simple feel good book.
I'VE HAD IT UP TO HERE! Don't you feel that way sometimes about greed? The things some people do in the pursuit of self gratification would make anyone see red.
There is a route to genuine and enduring satisfaction but it flies in the face of this greedy, self-obsessed culture. It's called generosity and in involves freely giving our 4 most valuable resources - our time, our talents , treasrues and touch - and recieving unimaginable riches in return.
Motivational writer Ken Blanchard teams up with Chick-fil-Afounder S. Truett Cathy for The Generosity Factor: The Power in Holding Things with Open Hands, a contemporary allegory about the importance of giving. While the characters in this little parable (the selfish broker, his contented but poor chauffeur and the generous CEO who teaches the broker to help others) present some important values. Through the story, the broker comes to learn about the generosity factor, which includes a consecration of money, but also, more significantly in our affluent but over-busy culture, the gift of one's time.
The advice The Broker receives and the relationship he develops with The Executive provide a pleasant surprise and a unique twist on what it means to truly succeed--whether in business, at home, or in life.
We listend to this on a long car trip and were riveted to the story. We hated to even stop for rest stops! The story is told entertainingly, interestingly and it teaches a valuable lesson we all need to learn. We throughly enjoyed it! It would be great for long car trips, commuters, truckers, just anyone who enjoys listening to audio books.

Surprisingly useful and insiteful 'self help' book for someone who isn't into self help, at all!
GREAT! Listened to these on car trip. Very entertaining, almost like a mystery, kept me and my husband interested the whole way. Hated to turn it off for rest stops! It spurred all sorts of thoughts about being a good stewart of what God has given me and sharing and caring for others. Could be listened to several times, take notes and use as a Bible study. Loved it!
