War hero Adam Lyonbridge is engaged to marry the General's heiress daughter in order to right his family fortunes. Yet, when he is asked to bring the general's other, illegitimate, daughter home from her nursing duties in Spain, he is first daunted and then delighted with the task - for the stubborn, penniless daughter is much more to his liking. It was enjoyable to join Kate Huntington in sorting out this tangle!
Interesting characters and good dialogue, with a few unexpected plot turns, makes Ms. Huntington's book--what might initially seem an often-seen plotline--one of my favourite Regency reads.
