Feeling kind of sad because I've almost run out of books in this series! Very thankful for PBS because I was able to get almost all of the books so I didn't have to stop reading.
A Gathering of Secrets surprised me in the end. There were so many people to suspect, and the case kept getting deeper and more heartbreaking.
Best part -- I love that Kate and Tomasetti got baby chicks!

Police Chief Kate Burkholder is called to the Gingerich farm when their barn burns. What looks like arson soon turns to murder when the body of Daniel Gingerich is found in the rubble. Kate has a hard time believing someone would want to kill a young, well-liked, Amish man. But questioning friends and neighbors of the teenager changes her mind about how well-liked he really was. Some people aren't talking. Others have nothing nice to say about him. Now Kate must determine who locked Daniel in the barn and set it on fire.
This is the 10th book in Linda Castillo's Kate Burkholder series. Kate grew up Amish; but left to eventually take a job as the local Chief of Police. Kate knows the Amish like to stay separate from the English. She doesn't know if that is the reason they are staying silent; but she does know they are keeping some big secrets. My rating: 4 Stars.
