I didn't think I would like this book, but I was so wrong. I loved Elodie, her parents and the Italian Resistance she joined with her friend, all taking place during WW-2. There she met her soulmate and used her music to help the Resistance send codes to others.

Elodie came from a prominent musical family and when she played the beautiful antique cello, a gift from her father, I heard her music and was transformed as she played. She grabbed my heartstrings and wouldn't let go.

I was satisfied with the ending, it was heartwarming. uplifting and touching.

Excellent.
