From the back cover:

"Bad people doing bad, bad things

Since the dawn of time, men have banded together to murder, cheat and take what's not theirs. These are their stories. GANGLAND contains fourteen tales of murder and malice by a motley collection of today's top comics creators, including Brian Azzarello, Tim Bradstreet, Peter Kuper, Richard Corben, Joe R. Lansdale, Mark Chiarello and Dave Gibbons. Crime has never been so entertaining!"

As a collection, it was good, but not spectacular. I thought there were some fantastic stories illustrated by talented artists, but others didn't keep to that level and seemed more like filler. However, if there were a second volume, I'd probably check it out.
