Award-winning novelist and MacArthur genius grant recipient writes this powerful novel on two themes: that of a divorced mother who discovers she has ovarian cancer, and that of an historic soap company with factories in the woman's hometown. Unusual story - quite captivating in its wide scope and intuitive insights. Loved it.
