Fury in the Ashes - Ashes, Bk 13
Author: William W. Johnstone
It had been the cruelest joke ever played on the men and women who survived the Great War. The politicians had told them that all the major cities of the world had been destroyed, and it was only years later that Ben Raines and his legion of dedicated warriors found out the politicians had lied.

This volume is the 13th in the series and continues the battle against the Night People - Raines Rebels call them "the creepies". This time the battles are set on the West Coast of what once was America. As the Rebel army move across the country, they discover that most of the large cities were NOT wiped out during the bombs and still exist - sort of.

I am still reading the series and I still recommend it. Great portable read for beach, air travel and visits to the relatives. Violent? yes but I still believe there is more to be found on the television.
