I have never heard of this author until I found "Furnace" and now I love her writing. This is full of twists and turns and keeps you guessing clear to the end. Scary in some parts and you wonder how the main charector will ever survive, and you actually find yourself rooting for this poor man, I won't ruin it for you but this book is a MUST-READ for horror /sci-fi fans. The ending will blow you away.

The story grabs you and takes you along for a great story of evil things going on in Furnace, USA. An unlikely victim is our hero Josh the trucker who has problems of his own at home to solve when he is a victim of this town!! You wont be able to stop til the ride is over!! What a great read by a new author for me!!

Not my usual genre - truly a horror story. But one that I could not put down without finishing. I think I will skip the movie tho when it is made...only becuase I dont want to see the monster beyond what my mind's eye has already seen.

This is a tense, nail-biter of a story about a truck-driving man who witnesses a violent accident involving an infant. The accident with the infant will have far-reaching implications not only upon his own life, but upon several other characters as well. This is a story very similar to something that Stephen King might have written. It was well-written with lots of twists and turns, but my copy could have been edited better as there were several typos which were confusing, but please do not let this discourage you from reading it, because it is a really good story! You will initially think that the book is predictable, but this is soooo not the case! There are a lot of plot twists and turns up to the very last page, which will keep you guessing.

Started this with high hopes but it was so slow getting started and actually I don't know when it got started to the point of wanting to finish it because I got bored it fast and the slowness of it.

This book is so good. I had already read her other book Trickster. So I knew I would like this book as well. If you have not read Trickster read that one as well. I can't wait to get her new book called Ancient.
