I really enjoyed immersing myself in the world of art collectors and dealers while reading this story set in Germany during the 1920's to 1930's. It is filled with intrigue and causes you to think about how an art forgery was determined during that time period. Based on a true story revolving around Van Gogh paintings, the book is split into three with a different point-of-view character for each section. I can't say that I really loved that choice of story format but I did enjoy the well developed intrigue and characters. If you are interested in finding stories that revolve around lesbian/gay characters, this book would fit the bill. There is a bit of sadness throughout the story, partially because the time period in Germany was beginning to be difficult for Jews. That being said, it was much lighter than stories I have read that were written about the war. I am sure that I will remember this story when I look at Van Gogh paintings from now on!
