This is one of my all-time favorite cookbooks. Background to go along with the recipes, that 'famous' Chicago deep dish pizza, amazingly good ideas for common foods, and a terrific help when kids were in scouting & school and needed to take a regional &/or historical food for a project.
I really enjoyed the book.

Good recipes and a fun bit of history.
1987 edition of the book ISBN wasn't on file for some reason.Companion to the national television series from WTTW in Chicago
This is a great cookbook that makes fascinating reading.
