It took me a long time to get into this story, but it turned out to be a really good read! A bit of a soap opera in its content, it ends up being a "feel good" kind of story! I would describe it as a nice "chick lit" book.

This book is about a pair of friends who have know eachother since college. Each couple begins to deal with a lot of difficult situations that cause their friendship to be tested in many different ways.
The book started off slow and introdued the characters too quickly to where I was a little confused at first, but towards the middle and the end, it ended up being a very good book in my opinion. I enjoyed reading it.

One of the best books I've ever read. You immediately get caught up into the lives of the characters and can feel their emotions as though they were your own.

I loved this book. Its a sad but sweet story about 2 sets of families that have been life long friends, when something terrible tears them apart.
Its about everyone trying to figure out where they stand in their lives, forgiveness and moving forward.

I love Barbara Delinsky's writing, but can't stomach some of her choices of subjects. This book focuses on two families whose lives are intertwined...the wives were college roommates, the husbands are long-time friends, they vacation together, etc. Within the first few pages of this story, the husband from one family and the wife from the other family engage in spur-of-the moment sex. I had to stop reading right there, as I find this behavior immoral and inexcusable. I don't mind if non-central characters are guilty of these sorts of indiscretions, for example, a story about a woman whose husband was unfaithful. I just don't want to read about main characters who are unfaithful. My personal quirk, and it might save someone from wasting money/credit on this particular title.

I only jut discovered Barbara Delinsky 3 months ago and this already the 3rd book I've read by her. Like the others, I absolutely LOVED IT!
I hated JD from beginning to end and to me that says a lot about Delinsky's style of writing that sucks you into the story. You feel like you can relate to at least one character and their situation..

Good story of what can happen to those family friendships we all envy. Two families who vacation together, holiday together and live on ajoining lots. I love Delinsky. This is an oldie but goodie.
