We need the Holy SPirit
it's time for uys to get hold of the Holy SPirit--or rather, to let him get hold of us.
Pastor Jim Cymbala of The Brooklyn Tabernacle cuts thru the theological clutter about the Holy SPirit with this fundemental truth: We need the Spirit desperately. All our cleverness can't transform a single crack addict, heal the heart of a rape victim, or draw a jaded businessman to Christ. Only God's Spirit can do that.
Drawing examples from the Bible and from the sidewalks of New York City, Fresh Power shows what happens when the SPirit of God moves in our midst.

Cymbala encourages us to have more faith in and higher expectations for the power of the Holy Spirit. However, I did find it odd that Cymbala put limits on the Holy Spirit telling us there are some things that aren't specifically found in the Bible. Those things (Holy laughter, etc...) couldn't be the working of the Spirit. I found it an ironic statement in a book with this title.
