A nice little book about the cultural difference between the French and the average American, written from the perspective of a Mid-Westerner. I would take some of it with a grain of salt, as the French have "evolved." However, as someone who lived in Paris for 7 years and kept in touch for many more, and raised by a father who was very much influenced by French culture, I can confirm many of Ms. Rochefort's "findings!"

A good look into the culture and minds of Parisians. It is not the most flattering or fabulous book written about France.
