This is my favourite book of the series. Wren is on a retrieval job and realises it is a set up when she is attacked by three men the Silence has sent to kill her. They decide they will rape her first even if she is not really human. Wren is so angry and disgusted, she reaches very deep for current it is black and oily. She releases it and the men are torn apart.
