Edited by Johanna M. Smith, University of Texas at Arlington.

About this volume:
This new edition of Shelleys classic novel presents the 1831 text along with five critical essays--- newly commissioned or revised for a student audience--- that read Frankenstein from five critical perspectives:

Reader-Response Criticism by Mary Lowe-Evans
Psychoanalytic Criticism by David Collings
Feminist Criticism by Johanna M. Smith
Marxist Criticism by Warren Montag
Cultural Criticism by Lee E. Heller

Each critical essay is accompanied by a succinct introduction to the history, principles, and practice of the critical perspective, and a bibliography that promotes further exploration of that approach.

The text and essays are further complemented by an introduction providing biographical and historical contexts to Shelley and Frankenstein, a survey of critical responses to the novel since its initial publication, and a glossary of critical and theoretical terms.

This book is amazing! Very deep, can be analyzed using several critical lenses. Great story, wonderfully written.
