Not having seen (or if I have seen them, not having remembered) the fairy tale sections on the Rocky and Bullwinkle show, I wasn't entirely sure what I was getting into with this book. I'm on a re-imagined fairy tale spree, so I read through this rather quickly, but very few of the stories seemed truly re-imagined. The snark wasn't snarky enough and the fairy tales didn't vary from the traditional enough for my taste. I know it's hard to do the genre well, and different people have different tastes as far as sarcasm as humor goes, so possibly it just wasn't my thing. Perhaps if you're interested watching a segment on Youtube is a good idea--they run pretty close to the text.
