This book manipulates the truth in parts and in others completely invents its own truth in an attempt to "teach people the reality of wicca and witchcraft". I advise people who choose to read this book to also check out The Truth About Witchcraft Today by Scott Cunningham for the other side of this story. Written by a praticing witch, it is honest and forthright and can help alleviate parental worries while teaching parents some interesting similarities between Wicca and other religions. In regards to the book being reviewed, I find it horribly slanted, and worse yet, slanderous, terrifying, and misleading.

Please don't read or promote this nonsense. I'm here to tell you a few things. First off, I'm a Witch and I am not in the least bit interested in anyone else's children. Unlike a number of different Christians, Pagans (Wiccans, Witches and the like) DO NOT practice any manner of evangelism. We understand and acknowledge that one's spiritual path is completely unique; no one can dictate what is right for anyone but themselves.

I like to think of books like this as the short-cut approach to parenting: telling kids what to think instead of giving them the proper tools that would help them learn how to think. How sad to limit your children's experience in this manner!

Dang it, someone found out about my rituals involving Papa Smurf and Michaelangelo the TMNT. How can I ever corrupt children now??
