A sequel to a previous Texas Brazos story. Charlie Justiss grows older in 1876 and much progress has come to the west Texas frontier. New settlers arrive daily to the Palo Pinto grasslands to take advantage of the booming cattle industry. It took a special kind of man to face the unknown dangers of this country and overcome the perils of existing day to day. The Texas Brazos series is a very good story of Texas in the early days and well worth the read. The lack of stars means nothing when it comes to this series for anyone interested in the early days of Texas.
